Mo Farah challenges fellow Olympic champion Usain Bolt to a race for charity

Mo Farah has challenged Usain Bolt - the fastest man in the world - to a unique race for charity.

Farah - Britain's Olympic 5000m and 10,000m champion - believes a race between 600m and 800m would be fair.

"1500m is a bit too far for him. I think somewhere between 600m and 800m. Let's get it on!"

Bolt, the Olympic champion at 100m and 200m and Farah were both in London for the Anniversary Games. The Jamaican won the 100m and the British superstar was victorious at 3000m and now Farah wants to meet Bolt on the track.

"I am thinking about this 100 per cent," Farah told Sky Sports News. "He's got his charity and I've got my charity, the Mo Farah Foundation. "It would be great do get proper athletics fans to vote, to phone in about what distance would be suitable - and then train for it. "1500m is a bit too far for him. I think somewhere between 600m and 800m. Let's get it on!"

After watching Farah throw down the gauntlet on the Sky Sports app, Bolt seemed up for the challenge and said: "That sounds fun. It's going to be hard but it's charity so it's all about fun and enjoyment. I'm up for anything, for anything's possible." But the Jamaican, world record holder at 100m and 200m, insisted running 1500m would be out of the question.

"It's way too far," he told Sky Sports News. said. "Six hundred (metres) for sure I can try because I've done 600m in training."Source:Skysport.com
