The
University of Dodoma (UDOM) is pleased to announce its second
Graduation Ceremony to be held on Friday 25th (for College of
Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) and College of Natural and
Mathematical Sciences (CNMS)) and on Saturday 26th November 2011 (for
College of Education (COED) and College of Informatics and Virtual
Education (CIVE)), at the Chimwaga Building Complex in Dodoma. On each
day, the ceremony will start at 1.30 p.m. and will be for all
candidates who successfully completed their studies and qualified for
the Certificate, Diploma and Degree Awards of The University of Dodoma
for the academic year 2010/2011. The Graduation ceremony will be
preceded by 2nd Convocation and Academic Prizes Awarding Ceremony that
will be held on Thursday 24th November 2011 in the Chimwaga Hall.
1. Participation in the Graduation Ceremony:
Graduands should confirm their intention to participate between 1st to 15th November 2011 through their respective School Deans. All Masters and PhD graduands should confirm through the Directorate of Graduate Studies.
Graduands should confirm by paying TShs. 45,000/= of which TShs. 25,000/= is a non-refundable gown hiring charge and TShs. 20,000/= is a refundable deposit. The deposit will be refunded when the gown is returned.
Payment must be made through CRDB Bank Ltd, Account: UDOM Central Administration (CRDB) - 0150221567400. Bank deposit slips should be submitted during gown collection from the respective Colleges. NOTE that late confirmation will not be accepted.
The gowns shall be collected from the respective Colleges from 10 a.m. on 22nd to 24th November 2011. All gowns should be returned before the end of the fifth day after the graduation ceremony. A penalty of Tshs. 10,000/= per day will be levied for late return of the graduation gown.
2. Rehearsal:
All graduands who will attend shall have to participate in a rehearsal that will be held at the Chimwaga Building Complexes on Friday 25th November 2011 at 8 a.m (for CHSS and CNMS) and on Saturday 26th November 2011 at 8 a.m. (for COED and CIVE), respectively. Attendance to the rehearsal is mandatory for all graduands who intend to participate in the Graduation Ceremonies.
Note: Those graduands who would not participate in the rehearsal will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony; instead, the awards will be conferred in absentia.
All graduands are required to be seated by 1:30 p.m. Graduands arriving later than the specified time will not be allowed to enter the Graduation Hall.
All graduands will meet their own travel, lodging and incidental expenses.
