Ephraim Mafuru, has been appointed as Director of Marketing at Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL), reporting to the Managing Director. Ephraim joins SBL from Consultancy firm Hillside Investment Company Limited where he was one of the directors.Mafuru holds an MBA from the University of Dar-Es-Salaam Business School, BCOM in Marketing (UDBS) and a Diploma in Business Administration (Marketing) from CBE – Dar-Es-Salaam.

Mafuru started his career with Kibo Breweries Limited as a Sales Representative in Dar-Es-Salaam, before moving to Morogoro and Dodoma. After spending time in Sales and Distribution for 9 months he joined the Marketing Department as an Assistant Brand Manager for Malta Guinness. In July 2005, Mafuru joined Vodacom Tanzania as Marketing Manager, and rose through the ranks to become the Head of Marketing and later Marketing Director, a position he held up to December 2010 when he went into private consultancy. 

Mafuru was the first President of AIESEC Tanzania and now sits in the Board of Advisors for AIESEC University of Dar-Es-Salaam. He is Vice-President of the Alumni Association for the University of Dar-Es-Salaam Business School. Mafuru is also a member of an array of organizations, including the National Presidential Committee for FIFA 2010 World Cup and Brand Tanzania Task Force.
