3 Policemen Killed In Garissa

Two of the police officers were from the Administration Police while their slain counterpart was from the regular police.
The attack believed to be the work of suspected Al Shabab militants took place near Garissa Primary School within the town.

The incident is the latest in a series of attacks targetting security men in the town. In the recent attacks, members of the Kenya Defense Forces were also killed by militants. Several security personell have been target of the killings not only in Garissa but also the Coast province as a whole.
 
In the Coast, the attacks have been attributed to members of the outlawed Mombasa Republican Council The latest attack was in malindi a few days ago. In Coast, the MRC members have been given a seven day ultimatum to surrender themselves to the police or the provincial administrators failure to which a massive crackdown on them will be undertaken. The warning came amid escalating levels of insecurity in the country.
