 A policeMAN who was identified as PC David of Central Police Station fatally shot himself while on sentry duties at the National Microfinance Bank (NMB) along Jamhuri Street in Dar es Salaam at about 7:00 pm on Sunday for reasons that could not be immediately established. An inspector who gave his name declined further details as he was not the official spokesman. Eye witnesses said they heard about two gunshots from the guardroom where he had apparently switched off the lights before he decided to take his life.
