SERENGETI BREWERIES LIMITED LAUNCHES EABL FOUNDATION 2011 SCHOLASHIPAPPLICATION DRIVE

SERENGETI  Breweries  hasa announced  the  commercement  of this year's schorlashi applicatio drive.

The Scholarship  program  is open  to bright but needy student s across  the region  wishing  to study  Business, Information Technology, Engineering and Food Science.This Scholarship covers  tution, books, accomodation, allowances and a mentoship programme for those students that are awarded.

"We  are very conscious of  the essential role education  plays  in the communities in which  we oparate.We are not only  empowering  people but  also investigating  in their future  and that of their  communities" said Serengeti Breweries  Limited Corporate Relations Director , Teddy Mapunda.

EABL  Foundation  has been  sponsoring  Tanzania students from the year 2005 and to date  we have 20 students  sponsored by the foundation.
For the year 2011 we hope  to shortlist 10  students in this  interview and award 4 full scholarships which include tution, accomodationand some  allowances. We have invested  ana average of TSHS140Million so far in yhis programme in Tanzania.

The scholarship will be students  that have  received admission letters  to University  of Dar es Salaam (UDSM)and Mzumbe studying , B.Com, Engeneering, Food Science and ITrelated degree courses.This in in line with our business focus areas making easier  for us  to mentor  them during their inteship.Last year  we received  more than 500 applications.
