University
students, ages 18 to 24 are participating at the time of the
conference, and are attending from Member States where Model United
Nations programmes are currently organized such as in Tanzania. Many of
today's leaders in law, government, business and the arts participated
in Model UN programmes during their youth.

organized by the United Nations Department of Public Information are
progressed here in Incheon, Republic of Korea from 10 - 14 August,
2011. and the theme of this year is “Sustainable Development: Advancing
Human Progress in Harmony with Nature”.
Ambassadors to the United Nations and UN officials always took part in
Model UNs in their cities and towns such as in Tanzania we have
Tanzania Model United Nation (TMUN). So participating in the Global
Model UN conference will inspire young people to become Ambassadors, to
work for the United Nations or become the experts and leaders that the
United Nations look for as partners in the global effort to support
peace, development and human rights in countries around the world."
