PRESIDENT JAKAYA KIKWETE FACE TO FACE WITH CANADIAN PRIME MINISTER IN GENEVA

 President Dr.Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, his fellow co chair of the Commission on Information and Accountability for Women's and Children's Health, respond to journalists questions during a joint press conference held in Geneva yesterday after the commission's first meeting.

 President Dr.Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete in conversation with the UN Secretary General Ban -ki Moon in Geneva yesterday.President Kikwete is in Geneva Switzserland for the First Meeting of the Commission on Information and Accountability for Women's and Children's Health chaired by the President and Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada.

The objective of the Commission is to lead a process to propose a framework for global reporting, oversight and accountability on women’s and children’s health. Such a framework will help countries monitor where resources go and how they are spent, providing the evidence needed to show which programmes are the most effective to save the lives of women and children.
