Saving can transform your life. If you make saving a habit, you will be able to achieve your goals, no matter how small your income is.
Most people argue that they can’t save because they don’t earn enough money. Well, I disagree with them because the habit of saving doesn’t depend on how much you earn. I know people who earn a lot of money and don’t have the savings habit, while there are others who earn a little, but save what they have.
Well, here’s how you can transform your life with financial freedom and create a habit of saving.
1. Have a goal
The best way to maintain your savings is by challenging yourself with a certain goal. Find a reason to motivate yourself to save.
I have a dream to own the best camera that would be useful for my career as a blogger. I started saving so that I could afford to buy the best camera. I decided to save ten thousand every week. By the end of the year, I managed to save more than three million shillings and I’m still saving until I have enough money to buy my dream camera.Having a target pushes me to save.
2. Set a budget and limit unnecessary expenses
Having a daily/weekly/monthly budget with plans for miscellaneous expenses will help you manage your finances. By setting a budget, you will be able to limit your spending. Set aside a specific amount for your consumption and make sure you don’t exceed it, except if something serious comes up.
My budget helps me track my expenses and reduce unnecessary expenses. This way, I can save for the future and create financial freedom.
