David Moyes & Owen Coyle: New bosses looking to start the season on a high

Manchester United and Wigan Athletic go in search of the first silverware of the season as they contest the Community Shield.

The encounter, which returns to Wembley Stadium in 2013, is traditionally billed as the curtain-raiser to the new campaign, but that is not the case this time around. Roberto Martinez, the man who guided them to cup glory, has departed for Everton and Owen Coyle - who has wasted no time in freshening up his squad - has inherited the managerial reins.

Wigan are therefore still getting to grips with a new regime, but the same can be said of their weekend opponents.
