than 200 customers to witness the trophy and two club legends in Dar es
Salaam Airtel Tanzania in partnership with Manchester United have
provided yet another unforgettable experience to Airtel customers and
soccer fans in an event that featured the Premier League Trophy and two
former Red Devils.
Airtel awarded more than 200 customers from Dar es Salaam a chance to witness the trophy in the function that was held at Hyatt Hotel Dar es Salaam on Saturday the 7th of April 2012. During the event customers had the opportunity to take memorable photographs with the trophy, meet and greet Manchester united Legends, exchange views and understand the intricacies behind the success of the league champions.
Manchester United legends, the former Manchester United central midfielder Quinton Fortune and ex Man Utd No. 1 Gary Bailey were able to share their views on what is behind such success.
Speaking on behalf of Airtel Finance Director Kalpesh Mehta said; “We are happy to have our customers to witness the trophy in the country. This is yet another opportunity for soccer fans to enjoy and have a great moment with Manchester United legends and to share deep Soccer experiences from across the globe.”
He
added “This follows the highly successful launch last year of the
inaugural Airtel Rising Stars whereby we worked with Manchester United
Soccer Schools and also we had the privileges of the visits other
Manchester United Soccer Legends, Andy Cole and Bryan Robson” The trophy
has been brought to Tanzania as part of the DHL Cham19ns Trophy Tour.
The
19th league title was a special achievement for everyone at the club,
becoming the most successful team in English league history. Thanks to
DHL the trophy will visit 27 different countries; already it has been to
India, Thailand and the Middle East and is due to continue onto South
East Asia and Europe. Manchester United is keen to engage pro-actively
with their 333 million fans
across the globe and events such as those today and Airtel Rising Stars are testament to this.
