Chris Wilder ataipa Tanzania zawadi ya kusheherekea miaka 50 ya uhuru
wa Tanganyika atakapokimbia kilometa 1 kwa kila mwaka wa uhusru wa
Tanganyika/Tanzania. Hii ina maana atakimbia kilometa 50 kusheherekea
uhuru wa Tanganyika uliotokean mwaka 1961.
Chris
wilder ni Physician Assistant kutoka Annapolis, Maryland Marekani na
yuko hapa mjini Moshi kukimbia mbio za 22 za Mt. Kilimanjaro Marathon
tarehe 24 Juni. Mbio hizi zitaanzia Moshi Klabu mpaka Rau madukani na
kurudi mara tatu. Kutakuwa na mbio za kilometa 42, Kilometa 21, Kilometa
10 na Kilometa 5.
Mbio
za Mount Kilimanjaro Marathon zilianzishwa na mama Marie Frances
anayetoka katika mji wa Bethesda Marekani mwaka 1991 katika mji wa Moshi
baada ya kuombwa na balozi wa zamani wa Tanzania nchini Misri kuja
kuanzisha mbio za Marathon ili kuitangaza Tanzania. Kila mwaka jumapili
ya mwisho ya mwezi wa sita mbio za Mount Kilimanjaro marathon zimekuwa
zinafanyika.
Kwa
kutambua mchango wake katika kuutangaza mji wa Moshi tangu mwaka 1991,
Manispaa ya Moshi ilimzawadia Marie Frances barabara ya zamani ya
Bustani Ale na kuiita Marie Frances Boulevard. Aidha Frances alipewa
funguo za Manispaa na kufanywa mkazi wa kudumu wa Manispaa ya Moshi
katika shereke zilizofanyika katika ukumbi wa Manispaa ya Moshi mwaka
2009.
Mbio
za mwaka huu za Mt. Kilimanjaro marathon zitapambwa na mcheza sinema
maarufu wa Marekani Deidre Lorenz anayewasili mjini Moshi tarehe 21
mwezi huu tayari kushiriki kwenye mbio hizi maarufu. Miss Lorenz
ameshiriki kwenye sinema nyingi kama vile Santorini Blue, Perfect
Strangers, The Great Fight na nyingine nyingi.

Wilde ni mkimbiaji wa mbio za marathon za Ultra Marathon na mwaka jana
alikimbia kilometa 100. Kwa kukimbia kwake kilometa 50 na kuizawadia
Tanzania Wilde ataweka historia ya mtu aliyekuja kupanda mlima
Kilimanjaro na kukimbia kilometa 50 kama zawadi ya nchi hii tukufu.

The
American Physician Assistance from Annapolis, Maryland has great
passion for running marathons. Chris Wilder 40 years old which is
currently climbing Mount Kilimanjaro will give Tanzanian Independence
anniversary a special gift by running one kilometer for every year that
Tanganyika/Tanzania is celebrating. That will make it 50 kilometer given
Tanganyika. Tanzania 50th Anniversary of Independence which is 50 years old.
Chris Wilde and a couple of other USA citizens, Europeans and other runner are taking part on the “50th Anniversary Mount Kilimanjaro Marathon” that is taking place in Moshi this coming Sunday 24th, of June. Wilde took part in the Ultra Marathon and run a perfect 100 meters in June 2012.
Mount
Kilimanjaro Marathon will kick start at the Moshi Country Club to Rau
Shopping Centre. Mount Kilimanjaro which is turning 22nd this
coming Sunday was founded by Marie Frances from Bethesda, USA in 1991.
Frances came to Tanzania on the invitation of former Tanzania ambassador
in Egypt after she successfully started Pyramid Marathon and Miss
Universe.
In
response to her great promotion for Moshi and Tanzania in general Marie
Frances was honored by having street renamed on her name. Former
Bustani Ale was renamed Marie Frances Boulevard in 2009. She was also
given the keys to the Municipal and addition to the permanent residence
in Moshi. The unprecedented Mount Kilimanjaro Marathon is to promote
Moshi First among equals and take this great region to the next level.
Every year number of runners take part in the Mount Kilimanjaro
marathon.
The
USA Great Actress Deidre Lorenz who have acted in a number of
blockbuster movies and television series will grace this year mount
Kilimanjaro marathon. Lorenz’s movies include Santorini Blue, The Great
Fight, Perfect Strangers and many more others.
Chris
Wilde will go down in history as the man who came to conquer this
highest freestanding mountain in the world and left a great gift for
Tanzania as he zooms down to his hundredth meters for his 50 kilometers
marathon in June 24t, 2012.
